FRENCH VERSION, PLEASE !!! And 5* it will be. Yoda

Can’t wait to play the sequels!

Love the Myst Series, and this edition of Myst is beautifully restored and has a (small) bonus Age! But now I want to play Myst II: Riven, III: Exile, and IV: Revelation! Please make high quality OSX compatible versions of these sequels available soon!

Not worth it

Graphics are very so so. Myst was great but this edition brings nothing. So not worth the money

poor graphics

I would have paid twice the price for a real graphic and emerging experience. Looking forward to play Oblivion. Hopefully it will be better than that.

Glad to see this in the app store

Myst was my first ever real computer game, and gosh, how I loved it. It took me literally over a year of playing to solve it, but solve it I did! Lovely to see it here in the app store, and play it again. I can’t say it seems much different from what I remember, but I guess that’s partly screen quality and stuff. Anyway, if you loved Myst and want to play it again, by all means buy it, or if you love puzzle games and want to play one of the best ever, buy it. If you’re hoping for some kind of super Myst, well, this isn’t really it, and you will likely be disappointed if you’re expecting something very different from the old game. I, however, will just be hoping they’re planning to release RealRiven as an app soon!

Not worth the price but not so bad.

Nice graphics on IMac.

Missed my Myst...

Patch seemed to have fixed things up. Happy as Larry now.

disappointed

Nothing like the PC version.. Shoddy graphics, realDisappointed... wish I could get money back

nice puzzle, glitchy for an “updated” 20 year old game

I remember playing this when I was a kid, never got anywhere. So it was fun to actually play and finish it this time. Some great and entertainingly frustrating puzzles, but unfortunatley lots of glitches. Standard graphic setting caused late 2013 15” MacBook Pro Retina fan to go crazy. Really disappointing considering the graphics are pretty disappointing to begin with. (supposedly updated, but look identical to 20 years ago). Lots of artifacts and spots. On laptop, game only recognizes full mousepad clicks, recognizes taps only 20% of the time, very frustrating. End is really anticlimactic - aka, you don’t really know that you’re done. (had to lookup a walkthrough to realize that I had actually completed the game) I wrote to report my graphic issues, no reply. Would not say this is worth $9, maybe $3 in this day and age, esp since it takes about 10 ours of play to finish.

realMyst realDisappointing

Fond memories of the original Myst as well as Riven. They ran so well on much older slower lower capacity hardware. I was surprised to find this version 1.1.2 is virtually disfunctional on my Mac Book Pro (Intel Processor) despite having more than the required memory and processor speed. Graphics are less than the 20 year old original, moving through the game is painfully slow or not at all. Waiting for this software to work would take longer than I took to solve the originals. Cyan…..any suggestions? Phill B12

Something missing

I love the whole series of the game. But in this one, where have the shadows gone??? The look is too flat, less real. For a re-edition, I would have expected less angular, more realistic graphics.

Only see a blank screen at launch

Does NOT work on my iMac. When launching the sound is okay, but screen remains “blank”. Only see the mouse pointer. iMac (late 2012) 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 OSX El Capitan NVIDIA GeForce GT640M 512MB

Really enjoyed this game!

Plays with no difficulties in my imac, and thouroughly enjoyed this game. It was just as enjoyable as when I first discovered it so many years ago! Actually runs more smoothly than the orignial did. Now my wish is for Riven and Myst 3: Exile to come to imac compatible format!

Something terribly wrong with this app

I have launched this app 5 times and not lasted one minute before it suddenly quit or froze my computer. I cannot even get off the landing dock without one of those results. Judging from the other comments by people who have had problems, there are serious issues with this version of Myst.

やっぱり起動しないです。

OS10.9.1 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 8 GB 1600MHz DDR3 MacBook Pro 上記の環境です。 起動しません。 もしかして起動するかな、と、ほんの少し期待しつつ、購入しましたが、みなさんがお書きの通り、 起動しません。 早く修正されることを切に希望します。

mystic game!

Waiting also for the other chaprters of the saga, just for a matter of memory, please, italian version!

Would be nice if I had video

I just dowloaded this for a late 2012 iMac 27”, 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB disc space, the only video card offered, running 10.11.1 No video. I get the audio but it’s useless. Cyan, I want my $17.99 back. I loved this game when it first came out and was looking to reexperience it. No luck it seems.

Some of the updates are fairly amateur, to be called “masterpiece"

-Many of the simple interactive graphics and sounds have been changed (for the worse) from the original. -The environments are prettier, but the interactive items in the game have suffered substantially in translation. -There’s no syncing saved games between devices. So, if you want to play on one device, then switch to another device, you need to start an entirely new game. -Additionally, although my son and I are only about 15 minutes into playing it, I’ve seen at least 2 glaring bugs, spoiler alert below, stop reading if you don’t want any spoilers! ******spoiler alert***** -When looking through the window of the tower after rotating it to the spaceship, it only shows a glitchy piece of wall instead of the spaceship. -When using the imager to play the message from Atrus, the music stays full volume, making it extremely difficult to hear what he’s saying.

Good twist to a classic game!

I really like the real time graphics on this game (the original version, which is also on this download, you move by clicking a static image). I do have to admit I am a bit surprised at how taxing it is to my computer. Running the game only engages my fans on my late 2013 MBP, and even more powerful games (Bioshock Infinite etc.) don’t do that. Additionally, the mouse controls in the real time version of this game are not the best. You basically have to move before you look around and if you click anything in the environment it’s difficult to get back to view 360 viewing. Other than that, it’s great!

Just got it and it crashes

Crashes as soon as you click on the book at the beginning of the game to get started. Such a shame cause the beginning cinematics were getting me so pumped up since I used to play this game all the time as a kid! I am running 10.6.8 and it says minimum requirement is 10.6.6 so i should be good. PLEASE FIX OR NEED A REFUND!!!!
